The speedometer on his bike reads 85km/h at one point during the ride.
Someone used a helmet-mounted camera to film themselves driving a motorcycle at high speeds through the underground pedestrian tunnels at Carleton University in Ottawa. The tunnels are forbidden to be accessed by motor vehicles and are a way for people to move from building to building during the cold winter months.
The video uploaded to YouTube on Sunday was posted by user “Logan M.”
“Underground Carelton U tunnels, I rode them, it was loud, and slippery,” the description below the video reads. It has since been pulled from YouTube, but not before we saved ourselves a copy.
The motorcycle in the video is identified as a Suzuki DR-Z400.
The Ottawa Citizen tracked down the username of a video through other social media accounts that had similar usernames and found Logan Murphy.
“I actually posted it for a friend,” he wrote. “I cannot comment on whether or not it was me actually riding that motorcycle in the video. It could have been anyone.”
The university is in touch with police and is working through all the security cameras in those tunnels to positively identify the rider and any accomplices.
What a dummy.
