Adele wears Blue Jays jersey during Toronto performance; Josh Donaldson is sorry he missed it

Thursday was truly a glorious day for the people of Toronto.

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson, 4-for-4 in Game 1, is 'banged up, but it’s not going to get in his way'

First, the Blue Jays opened their American League Division Series with a 10-1 victory over the hated Rangers in Texas. Then, Adele closed her show at Toronto’s Air __canada Centre by performing her hit Rolling in the Deep in a Blue Jays jersey.

For this one beautiful moment, Toronto actually did have it all.

The custom jersey featured Adele’s name and the number 16 on the back.

The Blue Jays took notice of the gesture:

Hello from the other side (of Bremner), @Adele! #AdeleToronto #OurMoment 👋 👋 👋 pic.twitter.com/J2QalIVwYg

One Blue Jay in particular:

Josh Donaldson, who got on base five times against Texas, has professed his love for Adele before. The reigning MVP uses her music to “get crunk” for his workouts. And he is very clear on this point: “Not get warmed up to Adele, but get crunk to Adele.”

Thursday night was the third of Adele’s four performances in Toronto.
