After Kanye West abruptly cancelled his performance 45 minutes in at New York City’s Meadows Festival on Sunday night, fans erupted in anger all over social media — until, that is, news came out that his wife, Kim Kardashian, had been held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel, and robbed.
“Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers,” Kardashian’s spokesperson Ina Treciokas said in a statement. “She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.”
Citing a “family emergency,” Kanye exited the show with a brief “I’m sorry,” but fans needed a lot more to be appeased.
