MARTENSVILLE, Sask. — The mother of a Saskatchewan man shot and killed in Honduras seven years ago says police have made an arrest.
Verna Martens says a consular official has told her that a suspect is in custody.
Her son, 31-year-old Dallas Martens, was gunned down on Sept. 18, 2009, on the island of Roatan.
She says the accused, Charles Felix Sanders Webster, is facing charges of plotting a murder, being an accessory to a murder and withholding information from police.
She doesn't know if police are also looking at other suspects.
Officers arrested six men shortly after the killing but they were later released.
