As part of the Liberal government’s valiant effort to appear hard at work on electoral reform, this week Minister for Democratic Institutions Maryam Monsef rolled out MyDemocracy.ca, an online survey at which Canadians can answer government-designed questions in order to be told what kind of future democracy they would prefer.
Despite critics who called MyDemocracy a poorly executed Kafkaesque fever dream, we agree the survey is infinitely superior to the old-fashioned method of having citizens read about proposed government policies and then make choices unaided by graphical interfaces.
Thus, in the interest of progress, the National Post presents Democracy Mine, our contribution to electoral reform. Share your results via the hashtag #DemocracyMine!
