Can you watch a four-hour loop of ‘Lisa needs braces’ to prove you’re a true Simpsons fan?

DENTAL PLAN!

While it may seem like Simpsons fans can – and will – go to just about any lengths to prove their love of the show, would they actually tune into an hours long loop of just one clip from the series?

Yes. Always, yes.

Australian TV station Eleven decided to make sure fans never ever forget that mantra, by playing a single clip in a four-hour long loop on Facebook Live. Currently, the video is sitting at over 500,000 views and over 3,600 shares. And, apparently, several commenters were able to watch the loop for over two hours. Kudos?

The clip comes from the season four episode “Last Exit To Springfield,” in which Homer becomes a union leader and starts a company strike after Mr. Burns eliminates the staff dental plan. The problem? “Lisa needs braces.”

It’s impossible not to hear Lenny’s distinct scream of “Dental plan!” followed by Marge’s sweet reminder that, well, “Lisa needs braces.” Especially after you watch it on a loop.

Eventually, the station did have to call it quits. “Good/bad news,” the station said in a comment. “Due to Facebook’s restrictions, we will have to stop the stream soon. Trust us, we’d run this literally forever if we could.”

It’s not as if we’re about to forget it, like, ever.
