A self-described “shirtless horde” has taken to following Toronto Mayor Rob Ford around, heckling him and brandishing signs when opportunities arise.
So far, members of the horde have turned up to protest outside of a radio station while Ford was giving an interview and at a press conference where they shouted over the mayor.
Some Torontonians have welcomed the brazen display of protest, but others have said they’re just adding to the circus that is municipal politics in the city. So is the shirtless horde helping or hurting their own cause? Lauren and Elissa discuss just that on this week’s Flip Side.
