Game of Thrones fans are currently in that awkward, sad time between seasons when there’s nothing but fan art and wild speculation about Jon Show’s lineage to tide themselves over.
Lucky for them, the Queen’s Guards have prepared a treat.
Last Tuesday, during the changing of the guards in front of Buckingham Palace in London, the guards broke out into a rather grim but nonetheless delightful rendition of the Game of Thrones theme song.
To the unfamiliar, the Queen’s Guards are sort of like the Kingsguard in Game of Thrones, except without the rampant violence, oft-ignored vows of chastity and sweet armour. Okay, they’re not the same at all.

We can say with fairly high degree of certainty that the royal family had nothing to do with the musical selection, but did you see the way the Queen looked at the throne when she visited the show’s set in Ireland?
